5 Reasons You Should Be Using A Conditioner, Too

Conditioner: the perpetual '+1' to Shampoo. Well, not anymore.

Conditioner has always been the +1 of the hair combination products. Since the beginning of time, Conditioner has always followed suit. The Robin to Batman. The Scottie to MJ. The Lance Bass to Justin Timberlake. In short, the world has only known: Shampoo AND Conditioner. Well, we’re here to tell you that a good, nourishing conditioner deserves a pedestal of its own. And it should be part of your daily routine.

Your hair is thirsty.

To help with hair and scalp hydration, be on the lookout for essential oils, such as Argan Oil, and ingredients like Shea Butter. Straight from the Argan Tree, Argan Oil helps to increase hair elasticity while hydrating and softening the hair. Crunchy hair? Not here. Shea Butter is no slouch, either. The benefits of shea butter for hair command a blog post of their own. Once absorbed, shea butter coats the hair shaft to protect it against sun damage and other environmental dangers. Le-git.

Moisturization is a must.

Much like how face moisturizers and oils deliver and seal in moisture, hair moisturizers provide root-to-tip nourishment for a shinier, more manageable mane. By maintaining the cuticle of your hair, those layers we were talking about will help add extra shine to your hair by reflecting light. Our Conditioner nourishes the hair and scalp, helping to rehydrate and repair dry, damaged hair.

Eat Wash with Your Daily Vitamins.

Healthy hair is much more elastic, making it easier to style. Things like heat damage from blow drying can also contribute to damaged hair and decreased elasticity. The Argan Oil and Shea Butter we mentioned earlier are rich in Vitamin E to help with hydration and moisturization. Further, we’ve included Biotin (Vitamin B7) to help increase elasticity and strength. These essential nutrients work to make the hair follicle stronger to combat hair fall and hair loss. Nobody likes the thought of that concept, so preventative maintenance is a plus here.

Protein: Not Just for Post-Workout.

Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein in our Conditioner penetrates the hair to repair damage as it thickens and adds volume to thinning hair. Wheat proteins are extra beneficial for curly, dry or damaged hair, as they help prevent moisture loss while volumizing the hair. Has anyone ever said they want less volume? Didn’t think so.

Patience is key.

It’s best to let the product sit for a few minutes while you continue with your shower routine to help the product work its way into the hair and scalp. While our shampoo is very gentle on the hair shaft on non-stripping, shampoos *can* strip your hair of its natural oils. Conditioner is intended to be left on the hair for 1-2 minutes so that the hair can absorb the moisturizing and hydrating aspects. So take a moment and let your conditioner do its thing. And while you wait, grab our Face Wash and make that shower just a tad more efficient.

Now you know why we believe a Conditioner should be championed more than it is.
